Welcome to Rules Management

Business Rules are a powerful mechanism for performing sophisticated data analysis, decisioning, and data updates. Account Servicing Business Rules can be integrated in many areas of the Recovery module to perform activities such as advanced person and/or account queuing, automated decisioning in workflows, setting field values, and aggregating person and account data to display in the workspace. While the incorporation of Rules is not required to work in Temenos Infinity, they are available to make the Temenos Infinity experience more efficient and productive.

The use of Business Rules does require experience; therefore, Temenos Account Managers are available to facilitate an understanding for how to use rules as well as provide business rule packages and training options. For more information regarding the use of Account Servicing Business Rules in your institution, please contact a Temenos Customer Care Representative.

Rules Management Home Screen

Business Rules are created and managed in the Rules Management Application, which can be accessed from the Rules Management home screen in System Management > Collections > Rules Management.

The Rules Management home screen is organized into the following tabs:

Edit Rules

Within the Edit Rules tab, users are able to launch Rules Management, and view the RuleApp Difference Report. 

To launch rules management, click . The rule application opens in a new window.

In addition to launching Rules Management, users are able to see an overview of the edits made to the rule application from the Edit Rules tab.

Upgrade Rules

The Upgrade Rules tab allows users to upgrade their institution's Rules Management application to a newer version.

Unless instructed by a Temenos Customer Care Representative, Rules Management upgrades should only be performed as part of a pre-upgrade process. For more information on performing an upgrade to the Rules Management application, see the Upgrading Rules Management topic.

Rule Sessions

The Rule Sessions tab provides an overview of the active rule sessions in the Account Servicing rule application. From this tab, users are also able to end an active rule session.
